Linda Blair

Internationally known for her portrayal of the fourteen year old girl in the movie, "The Exorcist", Linda Blair had already had a full career in modeling & commercials in NYC. At the age of Five years old, Linda began working as a model for such well known stores as Sears, J.C. Penny's & Macy's, to name a few.

She also became the "CINDERELLA" girl, who's beautiful pictures from around the country appeared in the NY Sunday Times Magazine. Her first commercial was for Downey fabric softener, which led to a career of over 75 commercials, ranging from Welch's Grape Jelly, Guldens Mustard, several Ivory Soap commercials, cereals, toys & she became the "HEIDI" girl for a young girl's doll.

Although, you would thing Linda would have been kept busy, the little girl dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Her late mother, Elinore Blair, who passed away in June of 1994, was a great believer in Linda pursuing all of her interests, which included: gymnastics, modern dance, tap dance, piano lessons, sailing, sewing, and artwork and even winning the Presidential Physical Fitness Award in school. Linda's greatest passion became horses. She began riding at about 6 years old and started showing in the larger horse shows at age 10. Later, Linda became a successful Jr. Rider, qualifying for the year end indoor horse shows with a variety of her horses. Linda also completed a successful tour with her now retired horse, "Northern Bound" in the amateur Owner jumper division in 1990-1991. She has hopes of putting together a motion picture that portrays the sport of Grand Prix show jumping with her company Falcon-Wolf Productions.

Linda's mother, who was a great seamstress, sewed the formal gowns which Linda designed and wore to the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, etc. Linda also designed some stage clothes for friends in bands like "Lynyrd Skynyrd" and "Molly Hatchet". Linda has sold several of her paintings at charity events and in the future, hopes to have more time to spend on her artwork. The Exorcist, which was release in December1973, changed Linda's life forever. She made such famous TV movies like: "Born Innocent", "Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" (Linda won the AA Award for special contribution to this tragic problem) "Sweet Hostage" (with Martin Sheen) which has become many people's favorite movie of Linda's, and "Summer of Fear" directed by Wes Craven. Her movies have ranged from roller skating in "Roller Boogie" and starring with Richard Burton in "Exorcist II: The Heretic". Kirk Douglas & Elizabeth Taylor played her parents in "Victory at Entebbe" along with a major celebrity cast including Anthony Hopkins, a TV movie based on a true story.

Though known for dramatic work, Blair has made a breakthrough in the comedy world, which is difficult in these times. She starred in "Up Your Alley" with Murray Langston (The Unknown Comic) which is a nice family movie, to her outrageous spoof on herself in the movie "Repossessed" starring Leslie Nielson. In 1993 she went to the Philippines and filmed "Double Blast", a kid's martial arts movie, which ran on cable in April of 1995. In 1994 she finished acting and co-producing the movie "Skins" The film speaks out agains racism and violence on the streets. It also stars Wings Hauser, who wrote and directed the film, as well. In the fall of 1994 Linda made a guest appearance on Aaron Spelling's new TV show, "Robin's Hoods". The year before that she starred with Bobcat Goldthwait in "Married With Children", where they played Peg Bundy's cousins.
